What is the Foodbank WA Meal Makers Challenge?

This August, Noble Avenue Real Estate will be taking part in the The Foodbank WA Meal Makers Challenge a team event designed to raise awareness and support for West Australians experiencing food insecurity.

The challenge is hosted at the Foodbank Perth branch. Teams shop at Foodbank using a real client budget, plan a nutritious meal with the ingredients available, cook it alongside a chef, and then serve the meal back to Foodbank clients.

On Friday 14 August 2026, Noble Avenue will take part alongside Whitehouse Property, Red Fox Property, LJ Hooker and Peard Real Estate. Together, five teams from the Perth real estate community will spend the morning supporting Foodbank WA and learning more about the work they do across Western Australia.

What Noble Avenue's team will do on the day

As part of the Meal Makers Challenge, each team will shop at the Foodbank Perth branch using a real client budget. They will then plan a nutritious meal, prepare it with support from a chef, and serve it to Foodbank clients.

The experience gives teams a practical understanding of the decisions many Foodbank clients face when trying to plan meals on a limited budget. Trying to make the budget stretch and trying to make it nutritious can be incredibly difficult.

When you look at it in this perspective, food insecurity stops being a statistic and becomes something you can feel.

It also highlights the important role Foodbank WA plays in helping individuals and families access food and support when they need it most.

231,000 West Australians are relying on Foodbank right now. Families in our suburbs. Parents doing the same calculations, for real, every week.

Why 231,000 West Australians need our support

Right now, 231,000 West Australians rely on Foodbank WA to help put food on the table. This includes families and individuals across our local suburbs and wider WA community.

Noble Avenue and Foodbank WA - our history together

Noble Avenue has proudly supported Foodbank WA for several years, and our local community has made a significant impact.
